HD photograph of Le Nil statue group inside Jardin des Tuileries looking south west - Page 165
Here you can see a close up photo we took showing a part of the statue called Le Nil, which in English translates to The Nile and you can see a sphinx along with cherubs, and originally commissioned for the Chateau de Marly, this marble statue was placed within the Tuileries Gardens in the 1700s.

In the same position as where it was originally placed within the Jardin des Tuileries, you will be able to see the entire historical statue of Le Nil in the Fer a Cheval area on the south west side of the Octagonal Basin, which is close to the terrace leading to the Musee de l'Orangerie.
