This is a view looking in a westerly direction that shows a part of the Allee Centrale leading up to the Grand Bassin rond within the Grand Carre area of the Jardin des Tuileries, and in the distance is the famous landmark of the Eiffel Tower.

But getting back to the gardens, you will find that the majority of statues located around the Large round Basin were put in place in the 1800s including the one to the left of the image called L'Homme et sa Misere ou la Misere, even though this area of the garden was designed back in the 1600s by Andre Le Notre.
