We were standing by the Vivier Nord, which is the small round basin and water feature found in the north eastern section of the Jardin des Tuileries within the Grand Carre area that was part of the original landscape designs by Andre Le Notre.

Although these are historical gardens with many statues and areas to relax, as you can see from this photograph looking over the pond towards the grass area of the Grand Reserve nord with the Musee du Louvre in the distance, there are also activities that can occupy children like these colourful model sailing boats on the Vivier Nord
