We took this photo looking in a south easterly direction over the Exedre Nord within the Jardin des Tuileries with its pond, which is one of two that are located in the Grand Couvert area of the gardens either side of the central walkway.

Now Exedre is spelt Exedra in English, and this is an architectural feature in a semi-circular shape, and as you can see this has a low wall and an historical statue standing in the centre, which was one of the projects implemented when the Tuileries Gardens were going to be completely redesigned back in the late 1700s after the French Revolution.
