While we were standing on the Allee sous couvert nord, which is on the northern side of the Jardin des Tuileries by the famous Rue de Rivoli, which was constructed during the reign of Napoleon with its arcade fronted buildings.

We took this photo showing the pathway called Allee de Castiglione within the Grand Couvert area of Tuileries gardens, looking in a north easterly direction towards the steps that lead up to an entrance on the Rue de Rivoli, and this view also looks further on past the gardens down the Rue de Castiglione, so hence the name of this alley within this former royal park.
