We were standing by the Musee de l'Orangerie, which is located on the southern side of the Jardin des Tuileries on the terrace that was constructed by Andre Le Notre, looking in a south westerly direction as though towards the Place de la Concorde and the River Seine.

And in front of this museum that is renowned for holding the Water Lilies paintings by Claude Monet, you can see two bronze statues that were sculpted by another famous artist, Auguste Rodin, yet just around the corner close to the museum entrance there is another more well known statue by this sculptor called The Kiss.
