Located on the south side of the Jardin des Tuileries within a parterre in the Grand Couvert area, you will see a vegetable garden, called the Potager in French, and this is a traditional aspect found within all historical gardens, which would provide food for the royal family residing at the palace of the gardens.

Yet, within the vegetable garden that was re-laid out by the landscape architect Pascal Cribier, you will find some modern art sculptures called Rhyme, with this mushroom being one of them, which were produced by Anne Rochette and placed within the Tuileries Gardens in 2000.
