There are several different monuments that are located within the Jardin des Tuileries, some of which can be found on the northern side of the gardens, like this one on the Esplanade des Feuillants by the Cour Anglaise area, close to a wing of the Louvre Museum called the Pavillon de Marsan.

Designed by the architect Charles Blondel and executed by the French sculptor Gustave Michel, this is a monument dedicated to Jules Ferry who was a French prime minister and brought about laws that would enable ordinary people including girls to get a sensible, secular education.
