While we were standing on the Terrasse du Jeu de Paume, which is on the northern side of the Jardin des Tuileries by the famous Rue de Rivoli, which was constructed during the reign of Napoleon with its arcade fronted buildings.

And we took this photo looking in a south easterly direction along the Chene de la Republique towards the incredible Louvre Museum, which was undergoing renovations works on the facade of the Pavillon de Marsan.
