From an elevated position on the Terrasse du Jeu de Paume, here you can see a view over the Tuileries Gardens looking in a south westerly direction towards the famous landmark of the Eiffel Tower in the distance, yet the garden area closest to us is called the Roseraie nord.

However, also in this picture you can see a part of the Octagonal Basin to the left, and to the right, the two ramps located at either side of the entrance to the Jardin des Tuileries, which will take you to the terraces that were constructed in the 1600s from the plans drawn up by Andre Le Notre, who also designed the gardens for other castles such as the Chateau de Versailles.
