We were within the Jardin des Tuileries in the 1st Arrondissement when we took this photo showing a view down the Allee Centrale looking in a south easterly direction, and this was at the start of this wide walkway, so the Bassin Octogonal was behind us.

You can also see the statue of Julius Caesar, positioned to the right of this alley, which was sculpted by Nicolas Coustou back in 1722, however, the original marble statue is now preserved within the Musee du Louvre, and what you can see here is an exact copy, complete with the original inscription on the base.
