Even though there are numerous historical statues within the Jardin des Tuileries, it was decided back in the 1990s that some modern art and contemporary sculptures would also be added to the gardens in different areas for people to enjoy.

So, here you can see a small triangular garden area on the Terrasse du Jeu de Paume while we were looking westerly, that is also home to a sculpture called Le Costume by Jean Dubuffet, which was acquired from the Dubuffet Foundation and installed within the Tuileries Gardens in the late 1990s.
