HD photograph of western gates and Fer a cheval at Jardin des Tuileries looking north west - Page 102
While we were standing in the western end of the Jardin des Tuileries on a stormy early morning we took this photograph looking through the Fer a cheval area towards the entrance gates of the gardens leading to the Place de la Concorde, where you can see that an enormous Ferris wheel, called the Grand Roue or Big Wheel had been set up for the summer months including the Bastille Day celebrations.

Now this is in fact the largest transportable Ferris wheel in the world, which was originally set up for the Millennium celebrations, and has since become a regular occurrence at this location in Paris, which is in complete contrast to the historical monuments that can be found all around, yet it provides lovely views over the area, and virtually all of Paris for that matter.
