Lions and tigers were a very popular subject back in the 1800s because most people had never seen one, and here you can see a very unusual view looking at the face of a tigress, which is part of a bronze statue group by the famous French animalier sculptor, Auguste Nicolas Cain, called Lion et Lionne se Disputant un Sanglier.

You will actually find this on the north side of the Jardin des Tuileries by the Esplanade des Feuillants, yet you would have to walk up the stairs to the terrace, which takes you out to the Rue de Rivoli, and then you can get to see this view point looking into the Grand Couvert area of the gardens.
