On the opposite bank to the Ile de la Cite island in the River Seine, there were numerous house boats moored up along the Quai de Conti, and as you can see in this photograph, some of these are even double moored next to each other, but with views of the oldest bridge in Paris called the Pont Neuf in the background, it is no wonder why.
