This first HD photo shows a statue made of stone that was designed to depict Saint Anne, which was sculpted by Antoine Desboeufs between the years 1837 and 1841 for the Madeleine Church after being commissioned for this by the French state.
And although Antoine Desboeufs studied as a French sculptor, most well known for the sculptures on one of the fountains at the Place de la Concorde, he was also an engraver of medals, with some of his coin designs being held at the Musee Carnavalet in Paris.
Yet this next photograph shows a close up of the pedestal at the base of the statue depicting Saint Anne who was the wife of Joachim, and they had a child born free of original sin, known as Immaculate Conception, and named Mary, she became the mother of Jesus Christ, which is why Anne, sometimes spelt Ann or Anna is referred to as a saint, and why Roman Catholics celebrate the Immaculate Conception.
However, here you can see the location of the Saint Anne statue positioned on the portico of the Eglise de la Madeleine, and when you are looking at the western facade, you will see that this is the third statue from the right hand side.
