Photo of Benjamin Franklin statue in Paris France - Page 95
We took this photo of the Benjamin Franklin statue in Paris, which is located behind the Palais de Chaillot, and he was an Ambassador of France, yet is most noted for being instrumental in drawing up the American Declaration of Independance, and the original statue was produced by the artist John J Boyle in 1898, yet this is a copy of the bronze statue, which was given to France in 1906 and has an inscription that roughly translates as This genius who frees America and pours torrents of Light over Europe.
