This first HD photo shows the allegorical statue called Architecture that was sculpted in marble and placed within a niche on the facade of the Aile Lescot in 1892as one of the hundreds of different embellishments that were added to the former Palais du Louvre.
The Agriculture statue was produced by Onesyme Aristide Croisy who was born in 1840 and initially studying drawing he then went to Paris and entered the Ecole des Beaux Arts to become a French sculptor, studying under sculptors such as Armand Toussaint and Charles Gumery and exhibiting works at the Salons from 1867 he received many public commissions.
Therefore, you will find many different monuments by Onesyme Aristide Croisy that can be found all over France in places such as Le Mans, plus he was responsible for the restoration of the chapel at the Chateau de Versailles, along with producing other statues for the Paris stock exchange, this one of Agriculture for The Louvre, etc.
Yet here you can see the location of the Agriculture statue positioned within a niche on the ground floor level of the Aile Lescot, and when you are looking at the eastern facade from the courtyard of the Louvre Museum called the Cour Carree, you will see that this is the very first statue on the left hand side.
