This first HD photo shows the commemorative plaque for Pierre Laigle placed within the wall of the Tuileries gardens facing the Rue de Rivoli, right by the Place de la Concorde, and as you can tell, below this, there is a niche with a stone plant pot adorned with some flowers.
Now this next image shows a close up of the memorial plaque for Pierre Laigle and when you translate this into English it reads, Here Pierre Laigle, Leclerc Division Tank Commander, aged 31 years died heroically for France on 25th August 1944.
But this photograph shows a close up of one of the flowers, and these do change with the seasons, plus additional wreaths and bunches of flowers are also put out on certain dates throughout the year.
And this is for one of ten people that have been recognised within this World War II Memorial, when they died during the fighting within the Jardin des Tuileries and at the Place de la Concorde during the Liberation of Paris.
