This first HD photo shows a statue called Histoire, which in English translates to History and this can be found on the Pavillon des Etats of the former Palais du Louvre, and produced in stone it was put in place in 1868.
But here you can see a close up photograph of the statue depicting History, and as you can see from the child holding a tablet, underneath the name of the statue it states Egyp, and the artist Joseph Michel Caille was referring to ancient Egyptian art when sculpted this, hence why you can see a sphinx in the composition as well.
Now Joseph Michel Caille was born in Nantes in 1836 and becoming a French sculptor in what is referred to as an academic style, he was fascinated with ancient art and even one of the buildings in Paris at Place Estienne d'Orves shows caryatid statues with an Egyptian theme that he sculpted.
However, most of his works still in existence are now held at the Fine Arts Museum in Nantes, which is where Joseph Michel Caille also passed away in 1881, but there is a statue of Cain in the Ranelagh Gardens in Paris that you can also get to see, as well as this statue of Histoire on The Louvre.
So, as you can tell from this image, the statue of History is located on the third level balustrade by the roof line of the Pavillon des Etats, which is a wing of the Louvre Museum that can be seen from the Cour du Carrousel, and this is positioned on the facade third from the left hand side.
