This first HD photo shows the statue called Le retour de la Chasse, which in English translates to The return of the Hunt, and this is an allegorical statue depicting a young child holding animals such as a bird killed through hunting.
So here you can see a close up photograph showing the top part of Le retour de la Chasse, which was sculpted by Adolphe Itasse, and unfortunately, depending upon what sources you read his year of birth seems to vary between 1829, 1830 and 1839!
However, Adolphe Itasse did study at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, then started exhibiting at the Salons for French Artists, but also taught sculpture as well, and he ended up marrying one of his students, yet there are very few statues or sculptures remaining from this artist, although there are reliefs if his adorning the Hotel de Ville in Paris, as well as this statue at the former Palais du Louvre.
And in this image you can see that The return of the Hunt statue is located on the third level balustrade by the roof line of the Pavillon des Etats on the eastern side return, which can be seen from the courtyard of The Louvre called the Cour du Carrousel, and it is position nearest the front, in other words, third from the left on this pavilion.
