This first HD photo shows the statue called L'Agriculture, which is an allegory that shows different forms of agriculture such as wheat or corn and a bull animal that the young mythical child with wings is resting its arm on.
But this next photograph shows a close up of L'Agriculture statue, which was sculpted by Armand Blanc who was born in Dijon and studied under David d'Angers plus Francois Rude to become a French sculptor.
And initially Armand Blanc produced a plaster model for the Agricuture statue before creating the stone version you can see here, and he also received other commissions for the former Palais du Louvre as well, which was a very few years before he passed away in 1860, as even this was only put in place in 1857.
However, here you can see that the Agriculture statue is positioned on the third level balustrade by the rook line of the Aile en retour Turgot, and although this particular wing is classed as within the Cour Napoleon this facade actually faces towards the Jardin des Tuileries.
Therefore, you would need to be standing in the courtyard of the Louvre Museum called the Cour du Carrousel in order to see this, and L'Agriculture is situated to the far right hand side of this pavilion, or wing.
