Again we were at the Muse du Louvre in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris when we took these high definition photos showing a Fronton, which was sculpted by Combette.

This first HD photo shows a Fronton, which in English translates to Pediment, which was produced by the French sculptor Combette, and this is located on a wing of the former Palais du Louvre called the Aile de Rohan.
So, when you are in the courtyard called the Cour du Carrousel, and looking towards this facade, you will find that the Pediment is located to the far right hand side of this wing.
Unfortunately, we do not have a name for this Fronton, but as you can see in this close up photograph it depicts an eagle, which was a symbol of the Empire during the reign of Napoleon.
Now this pediment along with the others on this wing were all sculpted by Combette and were put in place during the Second Empire when the Louvre Museum was being restored and numerous additional embellishments were being added to the facades, so it makes sense that an eagle would be represented at some point or another.
