This first HD photo shows the statue called La Moisson, which in English translates to The Harvest, and this is an allegory, as you can no doubt tell, with the young child holding a scythe along with corn and wheat behind.
But here you can see a close up photograph showing the detailing that went into producing La Moisson statue, which was by Pierre Alexandre Schoenewerk who was born in 1820 and studied under David d'Angers to become a French sculptor, and was awarded the Legion of Honour in 1873.
Yet this shows the location of The Harvest positioned on the third level balustrade of the western facade of Aile en retour Turgot, which is a northern wing of the Louvre Museum, and to see this allegorical statue you would need to be standing in the Cour du Carrousel, with it being situated fifth from the left hand side.
