This is a statue of Condorcet, also known as Le Marquis de Condorcet who was a mathemetician, philosopher and economist, and as you can tell from this image on the base, he was born in 1743 and died in 1794, and this statue in Paris, which is located at the Quai de Conti, was sculpted by Jacques Perrin in his honour of his ideals of a liberal economy and equal rights, as many of Condorcet's ideas and writings still remain influential to this day.
