This first HD photo shows the entire bas relief sculpture called The Architect holding instruments utilised in technical drawing, and this is one of several sculptures that are located on the facades of the Palais de Chaillot, which can be seen on the wings from the Jardins du Trocadero as you walk round the sides of the gardens.
Yet this next photograph shows some of the architectural features that the artist has incorporated into this allegorical sculpture of The Architect, such as two models of castles, along with a gentleman being portrayed as though he is stone carving ornate features on the top of a column, which is next to the main central figure.
However, here you can see a close up showing the surname of the artist inscribed onto the bottom left hand side of the bas relief, which was produced by Jean-Rene Debarre who was born in 190.
And with a passion for sculpture, he ended up winning a grant through the Blumenthal Prize in 1932, which then led to many commissions for reliefs and murals on mansion houses and public buildings such as a theatre in Brest, yet he passed away in 1968.
