We were again at the Palais de Chaillot in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris, when we took these high definition photos showing the bas relief called Oceania, which was sculpted by Henri Arnold.

We took this first HD photo while within the Jardins du Trocadero to the side of the Palais de Chaillot where you can discover a pond and stream, but you will also be able to see reliefs that adorn this building, which was constructed for the 1937 World Fair in Paris.
So this next image shows a close up of one particular relief, which was produced back in 1936 before being fixed to the side facade of the wing that holds the Musee de la Marine, and if you look carefully at the bottom right of the sculpture you will see the name Henri Arnold.
Now Henri Arnold was born in Paris in 1879 and entered the Ecole des Beaux Arts studying drawing and sculpture, although after this he spent over a year in Russia executing ornamental decorations before returning to France, but was mobilised during World War I where he created a system for producing relief plans.
Henri Arnold was general secretary for the Salon des Tuileries, then became president of the sculptors union, and after this even wrote a book entitled the Introduction to Sculpture, but still continued his own work, which included Oceania that he donated to the newly constructed Palais de Chaillot.
But during World War II, Henri Arnold was mobilised yet again, but this time in a role of mapping service, yet unfortunately he passed away just shortly before the end of the war.
And there are very few art works on display from this very little known artist, although you can get to see this bas relief sculpture of Oceania while in the Trocadero Gardens, or a statue of his at a museum located on the outskirts of Paris at Boulogne-Billancourt.
