Here you can see a statue of a female figure located on the Pavillon Marsan, which was produced in marble and was put in place during the major ongoing restoration project of the former Palais du Louvre that was taking place from the 1850s onwards.
But you will find that there are many allegorical statues located on the facades of The Louvre, and even though we have not been able to find out a name for this particular statue, as you can see, the lady has a head dress with fruit or berries and is holding a specific type of leaf.
However, from searching different sources we have established that the name of the artist was Maximilien Louis Bourgeois who was born in Paris in 1839 and was a student of different people including Francois Jouffroy, so he became a French sculptor along with medalist and engraver.
Maximilien Louis Bourgeois starting presenting works at the Paris Salon of French Artists from the early 1860s, right through until he passed away in 1901, and received many different awards along with public commissions including this statue at the Louvre Museum and another for the Hotel de Ville in Paris.
So this image shows the Pavillon de Marsan, which as you can tell, was undergoing restoration works, yet this is the southern facade of the pavilion you are looking at, which faces into the Cour du Carroussel.
Now this is the end wing of The Louvre next to the Jardin des Tuileries and the side closest to the Rue de Rivoli, therefore, the statue you have been looking at, is located in the middle within a niche on the first level.
