HD photographs of La Navigation statue on Pavillon de Tremoille at Musee du Louvre - Page 678
We were again at the Musee du Louvre, which is located in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris, and we took these high definition photos showing a statue called La Navigation that was sculpted by Louis Meunier.

This first HD photo shows the statue of La Navigation, which can be seen from the courtyard called the Cour du Carrousel, and this is located by the roofline of the Pavillon de Tremoille, second from the left hand side.
And this is the wing of the former Palais du Louvre next to the Guichet Lesdiguieres with the three arches that take you out to the River Seine.
Now La Navigation statue is actually an allegory depicting navigation, which was sculpted by Louis Meunier, and this was put in place on the Pavillon Tremoille back in 1868 when hundreds of ornamental statues were produced to adorn the Musee du Louvre during the restoration of this former royal palace.
