HD photo of the Georges Jacques Danton statue found in Paris France - Page 63
This is a photo we took of a statue in Paris that was sculpted by Auguste Paris and depicts Georges Jacques Danton who was a leading figure in the early stages of the French Revolution and the first President of the Committee of Public Safety in the city and although you cannot see these in this high definition image, on the base is carved A Danton La Ville de Paris 1889, however, on one of the tourist information placques it states that this bronze statue is the official tribute to the City for the centenary of the Revolution, which was inaugurated in 1891 and occupies the exact location of his apartment, yet it is now found at Place Henri Mondor by the Odeon metro entrance.
