In this first image you can see the HD photo showing La Paix statue, which in English translates to The Peace, and this is located above the pillars on the second level of the Richelieu Pavilion.
So as you are looking at the facade of the former Palais du Louvre from the courtyard where you will find the I M Pei pyramid, this is the statue to the left hand side, yet on the opposite side is the allegory depicting war, and both of these were produced by the same artist Antoine Louis Barye.
Now Antoine Louis Baryre was born in Paris in the September of 1796 and initially followed in his fathers footsteps learning to be a goldsmith, yet eventually entered the Ecole des Beaux Arts, yet after watching the animals at the Jardin des Plantes he decided to become a sculptor, and he is most well known for his animal sculptures.
However, throughout his career he produced numerous monumental works, some of which can be seen within the Tuileries Gardens, plus he produced several different statues and sculptures like this one of La Paix for the Louvre, when the city was being transformed with additional embellishments during the reign of Napoleon III.
