In this first high definition photo you can see a statue group known as an allegory, which is called La Paix, that translates to The Peace in English, and this is one of many allegories that can be found on the facades of The Louvre.
Taken from a completely different angle looking up to the roof line of the Pavillon des Etats, which is located within the Cour du Carrousel, you can see a side view of the La Paix statue group, but only one young child is in this shot, rather than the two you can see in the photo above or below.
Now this allegory statue was actually produced by the artist Jean-Marie Bienaime Bonnassieux in 1868, and he worked on several sculptures for the Palais du Louvre between the 1850s and 1870s, along with producing other works in Paris and France.
And in this last HD photo you can see the intricate detailing that went into this statue group by Jean Marie Bonnassieux who was born in 1810 in the Loire region, yet went to Paris to study and after being a joint winner of the Prix du Rome, he finished his studies in Rome before returning to Paris, which is where he passed away in 1892.
