Photos of the Bishop statue on the south west bell tower of Notre Dame in Paris - Page 195
While visiting Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cite in Paris, we took these high definition photographs showing one of the stone statues that can be found on the southern side of this world famous cathedral.

Now to try and give you some idea of the statues location, if you were standing in front of Notre Dame Cathedral looking at the three main large doors, you would need to walk to the right heading towards the south side of the building, then just before entering the Square Jean XXIII garden, you will see this bishop statue located on one of the support pillars of the south west bell tower.
Also, as you will see from these photos, this bishop statue is located within a niche on Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, and this was one of the statues that was restored by Viollet-le-Duc in the 1800s, after many were destroyed or damaged during the French Revolution.
With this photograph, you can see the some of the detail and work that went into producing this bishop statue, including its ornate columns and smaller carved stone arches above, which was sculpted way back in the 1200s and has stood the test of time for pilgrims and tourists to admire today.
