Paris Emmanuel Fremiet statue Jardin des Plantes - Page 160
This time we were still within the Jardin des Plantes in the 5th Arrondissement of Paris, when we took these high definition photographs showing the Paris Emmanuel Fremiet statue that is found inside the gardens, and this particular bronze statue was sculpted by the artist Henri Greber in the 1900s.

The HD photo above shows the Paris statue dedicated to the artist Emmanuel Fremiet, which had been commissioned by the Jardin des Plantes and the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, and was sculpted by another French artist called Henri Greber in 1913 that was made of bronze depicting Fremiet at work as a sculptor himself producing a piece of art.
Now the next photo we took shows the back of the Paris Emmanuel Fremiet statue, who was an animal sculptor that worked at the Jardin des Plantes and later became the professor for animal drawing at the Natural History Museum.
This close up high definition photo we took shows the bas-relief located on the front of the base of the Paris Emmanuel Fremiet statue, and this bronze relief was designed by H Greber to represent the equestrian statue of Joan of Arc that Fremiet actually produced for Napoleon III.
The next close up photograph above shows the second bronze bas-relief that is located on the back of the base of the Paris Emmanuel Fremiet statue, and this particular one depicts a bear hunter with a bear, which was another bronze statue that Fremiet himself had created.
Now looking towards one side and the back of this Paris statue, although it is exceedingly hard to see, etched into the bronze base on the edge starting where the post is, there is a name of H Greber, and he was the French sculptor and artist called Henri Leon Greber, who produced the monument.
To discover the Paris Emmanuel Fremiet statue for yourself, it is located in the east corner of the Jardin des Plantes gardens very close to the Gare d’Austerlitz train station that services the Paris Metro line 5, plus you can find a Velib bicycle station only a few metres away along Boulevard de l’Hopital close to Place Valhubert and the River Seine.
