HD photographs of Central Pavilion LHS Trophee sculpture on Palais Royal - Page 1156
While we were in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris at the Palais Royal, we took these high definition photos showing a statue called a Trophee, which is part of a group called Les Trophees du Conseil d'Etat, that were sculpted by Martial Adolphe Thabard.

This first HD photo showing a Trophee, spelt Trophy in English, and this is one of six that are located on the facade of the Palais Royal, and these are known as Les Trophees du Conseil d'Etat, which translates to The Trophies of the Council of State, due to the fact that they are located within this part of the former royal palace.
So this close up photograph shows the detailing that went into producing this particular Trophy statue, which was by Martial Adolphe Thabard, who was born in the November of 1831 and became a sculptor specialising in decorative art works, yet having studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, he also received many different commissions from the French state.
And although many works can be found within Limoges where Martial Adolphe Thabard was born, some can be seen at tourist attractions in Paris including the Hotel de Ville, Eglise Saint Eustace and at the Palais Royal, including this Trophee statue for its facade.
Yet the above image shows the location of this particular statue positioned on the facade by the balustrade to the left hand side of the pediment on the central pavilion of the Palais Royal that is home to the Council of the state.
Therefore, being one of six in total, this is why they are classed as Les Trophees du Conseil d'Etat, and these can all be seen from the Place du Palais Royal, which also faces towards the Rue Saint Honore in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris.
