The Eglise Saint-Roch was actually constructed in a Baroque style between the mid 1600s and the mid 1700s and this first HD photo shows a statue located on the top of the church, which is dedicated to the Fathers of the Church, yet was not sculpted until a far later date.
In fact, this is one of two Statues of the Fathers of the Church, which in French is Les Statues des Peres de l'Eglise, and this along with the one on the opposite side of the front facade were both produced by Marcelin Firmin Michelet who was born in Tarbes in 1875 and studied to become a French sculptor and engraver, who is most well known for his monuments.
Marcelin Firmin Michelet was well recognised and sought after for many memorials that were erected all over France, which were dedicated to those that died during World War I, along with several portrait statues and medals depicting famous people such as Georges Clemenceau and Ferdinand Foch, Marshal of France, but some of his works can also be seen within the Musee d'Orsay in Paris, along with this.
However, this photograph shows the entire top section of the Eglise Saint-Roch with Les Statues des Peres de l'Eglise located on either side of the facade by the roofline, and this particular one is located to the right hand side of the clock and pediment of this historical church located on the Rue Saint-Honore in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris.
