Photo of the main stand in Place de la Concorde ready for the Bastille Day celebrations - Page 69
A part of Paris city life evolves around celebrations and traditions, and Bastille Day, which is held on the 14th July each year that celebrates the storming of the Bastille, is the longest running and largest military parade of its kind in the world, with different activities organised all over the city. However, the French President and numerous other officials, along with the different military services march down the Champs Elysees and congregate within the Place de la Concorde, which is the square you can see in this photo with the Luxor Obelisk, and as you can tell, a stand was being erected ready for this day when bands play, and even a precision parachute team land in the square.
