HD photo of Jean Cavailles plaque along Avenue de l'Observatoire in Paris - Page 225
As we were walking along the Avenue de l'Observatoire in the 14th Arrondissement, located on the side of a building approximately between the numbers 55 to 59, we came across a memorial plaque with a bunch of flowers beneath, and you will find several of these dotted all over the city recalling the history of Paris.

And when we translated the inscription on the plaque, this states:
Here was stopped Jean Cavailles, Professor at the Sorbonne, hero of the Resistance, by German rifles in early 1944.
