Cities just like Paris were originally built up around water, as this was always needed for the transportation of goods and materials for construction, and Paris is no exception, as this is a photograph we took while on the Canal de l'Ourcq where you can see one of the many factories and a barge full of sand, as this means of transport is still utilised today, even though it is far more rare than several decades ago.
