Photo of Canal de l'Ourcq in Paris - Page 140
Canals and rivers have always been a major part of city life for hundreds of years for transporting goods, and Paris is no exception, and even today the canal de l'Ourcq that you can see in this photo is still used by barges for transporting materials, and although you cannot see the contents in the barge, it was full of sand, as there is also a cement factory on the opposite side.
