This is a view looking in a north westerly direction towards a small section of the English style garden with a log style fence next to the winding path, which is located within the Jardins du Trocadero on the western side of the Palais de Chaillot.

Providing green spaces for both rich and poor was one of the concepts Napoleon III wanted to achieve within the city of Paris, which was after his experiences while he was in exile in London a few years prior, and the idea was that no Parisian would be more than a ten minute walk from a green area, hence there are numerous parks and gardens just like the Trocadero Gardens.
