There are several different water features that can be found within the Trocadero Gardens, and this particular one with its pond and stream is located within the English style garden section on the eastern side, utilising stone from the original quarries that were in the area.

Many people do not realise that features like this can be found within Paris, especially when you think that this is a large city and has many formal gardens belonging to different palaces, yet it was originally Napoleon III that wanted tranquil areas of green like the Jardins du Trocadero where anyone could go and enjoy a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of city life, which became an instant success.
