We were standing on a pathway next to Avenue Albert 1er de Monaco that leads up next to the famous Warsaw Fountain on the western side when we took this photo looking in a northerly direction towards the two separate wings of the Palais de Chaillot and the terrace in the middle.

Now this particular terrace provides a fabulous view to the Eiffel Tower on the opposite bank of the River Seine, which would be behind us, and this photographic opportunity was made famous throughout the world when Adolphe Hitler was pictured on the terrace when Paris was under occupation during World War II.
