We were standing within the top part of the Trocadero Gardens on the westerly side, when we took this photograph looking in a north easterly direction towards the west wing of the Palais de Chaillot that is home to the Musee de l'Homme and the Musee de la Marine.

Now the gardens were laid out when the Palais du Trocadero was constructed, yet this was demolished to make way for the Palais de Chiallot built for the 1937 World Fair in Paris, yet the arc shaped wings still utilised the original foundations from the former palace, although the Jardins du Trocadero were also redesigned at that time as well.
