HD photograph of square Fontaine du Trocadero in Jardins du Trocadero looking south west - Page 79
This is a view looking in a south westerly direction over the top section of the Fontaine du Trocadero, which is also called the Fontaine de Varsovie, or Warsaw Fountain in English and you can see there are square basins holding statues, which when operational would provide a cascade water effect.

In fact, the Trocadero Fountain within the Jardins du Trocadero is the largest water fountain in Paris that travels down the centre of the gardens, with certain water jets being able to reach approximately 50 metres. This was put in place for the 1937 Universal Exhibition, and apart from when it has been drained for cleaning or maintenance as you can see here, it is still functioning the same way to this day.
