We took this photo looking in a south easterly direction over a pond situated within the Trocadero Gardens, which is one of several ponds designed as water features that were popular at the time, with this one being located on the western side of the gardens.

It was actually Napoleon III that wanted far more green spaces in Paris and his idea was base these on the English style gardens, so even though this garden was created after his fall from power and renovated for the 1937 World Fair, it is a place that locals and tourists have been able to enjoy for well over 100 years.
