This is a view looking up a set of stone steps within the Trocadero Gardens that are located on the western side and lead up to another walkway in the gardens next to the street called the Rue le Tasse, and hence you can just make out part of a building in the background in the 16th Arrondissement.

So it was in keeping with the character of the area where there used to be quarries, that some aspects of the Jardins du Trocadero were incorporated within the design, which was first laid out for the 1878 World Fair, and then re-designed for the 1937 World Fair in Paris.
