Rather than the traditional style of formal French garden design, like can be found at former royal gardens such as the Jardin des Tuileries, either side of the Jardins du Trocadero you can discover the English style of garden, which became popular in France in the 1800s.

And although there was an original fountain located in the centre part of the Trocadero Gardens, for visitors to the World Fair, it was the variety of greenery and the additional water features amongst the trees that were a major attraction, just like you can see in this photograph.
