This is a view looking in a north westerly direction past a vestige that has been set in place next to the rock wall on the outer perimeter of the Jardins du Trocadero on the north western side, with a small part of the Palais de Chaillot showing in the background up the path.

You will find many different features within the Trocadero Gardens including statues, but this particular vestige is actually a part of the former Palais des Tuileries which was destroyed during the Paris Commune and when it was demolished most parts were sold, although this small section was moved to these gardens where it has remained ever since.
