This is a view looking towards a former entrance of the Palais de Chaillot on the southerly side of the western wing, which faces onto the Jardins du Trocadero, and with its ornate unusual gilded doors you can see that it is reached by steps and crowned by a sculpture.

However, to the sides of this unusual and ornate doorway, you can see plaques that have been put in place to direct you round the side of the building sometimes referred to as the Passy Wing, in order to reach the main entrance to different museums including the Musee de l'Homme and the Musee de la Marine.
